Officially, there were 13 of us attending this afternoon, although there were also a couple of ladies who came in or short periods to drop stuff off.
This month we managed to donate a lot of items. 33 toys went to the Villages Hospital. The
Christian Care Center received 16 quilts, 34 totes, 33 toys, 6 purses, and 6 small
burp pads. The Marion County Humane Society got 38 dog beds. The Leesburg
Hospital got 57 floor quilts, 2 receiving blankets, 39 toys. By the end of the week we will have given the Sheriffs’ Youth Ranch 37 shoe bags, 49
backpacks, 52 pillowcases, and 24 zipper bags. At some point I might try to add up the number
of items we have donated to each organization for the year, but so far, I know
the value I have reported is over $12,000.
