There were 8 of us this afternoon. I brought all the 5” squares instead of just the blue and red ones. I am hoping you will turn these into backpacks, quilt tops, zipper bags, or anything else you can think of.
Show and Tell:
Mic Pickard showed the backpack she made.
Ceal Pedersen took a quilt from Moyer Citrus last week and copied the pattern for a quilt she completed this week.
She also showed some toys she painted the faces on.
Donna Rissman found a great toy panel at the Joanne’s closing sale. Cutting the parts and making the animals (with no instructions) became a group project this afternoon. There was lots of laughter as these animals were created. Ceal took them home to close their bottoms, so we should see them next week.
She also brought several quilts from Moyer Citrus Quilters.
Ellen Hein finished a quilt top from a panel
SHe also made some backpack sides,
pillowcases,
and completed the binding on a bunch of quilts.
Diane Sacula showed the latest batch of toys she made, along with her friend who embroiders the faces.
I showed an apron I made from a Christmas
panel.
Thanks to Eileen and Ellen for ironing a couple of large
fabrics that I hope to use as backings for some of the quilt tops that have
been handed in. I still have a large
stack to sandwich and quilt.
I hope to see you all next week.
Lois
