There were 9 of us who braved the rain to come out this afternoon. I put out the 5” and 3.5” squares as well as some small fabric pieces. We received a bag full of tote bags. I showed them to the group and asked for opinions to donate or sell. The consensus was that they probably wouldn’t sell well but the Christian Care Center could make use of them. We gave them to Mic to donate
A while back I asked for volunteers to make blue and white 9-patch blocks for a quilt top. I put together what was turned in, but need another 5 blocks to make it a reasonable size. Ellen volunteered to make 5 more and gave them to me at the end of today’s meeting.
Show and Tell:
Ellen Hein made several receiving blankets and burp pads
and handed in a few more quilt tops.
She also showed the quilts that she finished the binding on. Most of these were quilt tops turned in by Anne.
Ellen made this quilt top as well as finishing the binding.
Mic Pickard turned in a quilt top from her UFO bin.
Louise Stem finished 3 pillowcases
and a prayer quilt.
She has also started on her contributions to Days for Girls International. If you are not aware of this organization, they make reusable menstrual supplies for girls in poor countries.
