This afternoon’s meeting started a little different. I walked in to find a .Villages TV video guy waiting. His reporter coworker arrived a few minutes later. They interviewed me first then proceeded to talk to and film several other ladies. This is supposed to be on the Villages TV channel, but I don’t know when.
It’s good that they came today and not one of the previous
weeks. There were 13 of us today and lots of activity.. I brought the 5” squares that have been
living in my car plus some fabric that came in yesterday.
Show and Tell:
Carolyn Grasso was back and showed a flat bear waiting to be stuffed..
Mic Pickard made several draw-string backpacks.
Pat Pipa came with a few zipper bags.
Diane Sacula showed the latest batch of toys she made, along with her friend who embroiders the faces.
Ellen Hein showed several quilt tops she made.
Louise Stem finished 2 pillowcases.
Eileen DiSanto made a flat giraffe and a flat scardy cat.
Mic showed everyone a photo of
how our items for the fall sale are now stored neatly in her garage. She brought back the “shoe” bags so I can
donate them to the Sheriff’s Youth Ranch.
I brought her a carload of dog beds, toys, and items to go to the
Leesburg Maternity ward. She is going to
make deliveries over the next few days.
I also have several bags of items to go to the Christian Care Center in
Leesburg, but will bring them for her to deliver next week.
Last weekend I cut batting for 17 baby quilts that were waiting on my to-do pile. I will be quilting these and giving them to Ellen for binding , as soon as I can. I gave her 4 this week.
I don’t have anything else to
report. Hope to see you next week.
Lois
