It was great to be back with my sewing friends this afternoon. I was starting to loose track of what day it was, without places to go. I am happy to be able to drive again so I can get to all my weekly activities.
We had 15 ladies at this
afternoon’s meeting. There were lots of
stuffed toys being made. Courtesy of Mic, we had 2 bins of fabric to choose
from. Plus, a lady dropped off a bag of heavier fabric that we can use for
walker bags or dog beds.
Please send prayers for Diane Placek
and her family. Her son has been in the
hospital for the past 5 weeks and is in kidney failure. He is in the process of
being moved to a long term care facility.
Show and Tell:
B.J. Herter showed a duck toy.
Pat Pipa made a bunch of toys
and showed a yard flag she made.
Bev Minnerly made 3 walker bags
and 2 cats.
a yard flag, and a lot of Easter items.
At the Busy Hands/Happy Hearts sale a few weeks ago, Mic put out all the items left over from our sales last October. They sold $140 worth of items. That has been added to our charity fund. Mic said that items under $5 went best. We should think about what we can make that we could sell at next October’s craft sale, for no more than $10.
See you next week.
