Thanks to Mic for stepping in yesterday to run the meeting. Although I am doing OK, the pain meds I am on prevent me from driving. It’s a good thing too, since I find myself nodding off during the day. They say sleep is the best healer. Needless to say, I am not doing any sewing this week.
Here are the notes Mic sent:
“You were missed‼️‼️‼️But, good
news: Audrey brought the 2 green
pillowcases today so you can scratch that off your listππΌππΌππΌ. We took on the big block box from the closet
in conjunction with the squares & other ideas each person had so that box now
looks like the pic aboveπ€π€π€π€. I’ll send the sheets & show & tell
pics tomorrow when I have a fresh brain for computer workπ₯°π₯°π₯°.
Everyone sends their best including Lois.”
I think this means the Big Block Box is now a Big Block Bag! That means more room in the closet to store soothing else. Maybe toy fabric?
Show and Tell
Nilda Nicoletta joined in right away by making some 9-patch blocks.
Carolyn Grasso showed a horse quilt
top sheis working on.
Bev Minnerly made a walker bag.
Lynn Delgado made a duffle bag.
(With the 2 Ellen made, we now have enough for this year's graduates.)
Mic sent a photo of a bag full of felt hearts, but it wasn't part of show and tell, so I asked. Jean Peters hand stitched and stuffed them all!! I will have to cut a bunch more.
I think next week is planned to be toy making day. I will let you know if I hear otherwise.
Mic will run the meeting again. I get my staples out on the 26th,
so I hope to be back with you on the 27th.
