We had 10 ladies at today's meeting. Although I didn't have any
announcements today, we spent a little time talking about the status of
COVID vaccinations among our members. We now have 10 members who have
either received the 1st shot or have an appointment next week to get
their 1st shot. 4 of us have tentative appointments for the 2nd shot and
11 more are currently on waiting lists. I encourage all of you to at
least get on one of the waiting lists. Here are two options:
Show and Tell"
Mic Pickard talked about a shower curtain she embroidered with her daughter's monogram and showed the towels she is sending to go with it.
Ellen Hein showed another duffel bag she has finished for the Sherriff's Youth Ranch 2021 graduates.
B.J. Herter showed a carrying case she made to hold her sewing tools.
Ceal Peterson continues to work on quilt blocks she is sewing together from some of the men's ties we received.
Pat Pipa made 2 stuffed toys and completed a quilt block from our quilt challenge.

We
got a lot of fabric donations this week. Some went to dog beds but
there was also some usable fabric. During the rest of the afternoon, I
cut a bunch of walker bag sets, just waiting for fidget items. What
wasn't large enough for walker bags I cut for draw-string backpacks. A
new potential member cut some pillowcase bodies and matched them to
suffs we had.
We don't have a room for next week, so no meeting Feb 10th. I will send out a reminder. Hope to see you on Feb 17th.
