Club Notes - September 25

There were 10 of us at today’s meeting, including 1 prospective new Villager.

I brought the fiber fill, Christmas fabric, and the bin of 1 yard and fat quarter pieces.

We got assigned a table at La Hacienda rec center for the Oct. 5th Craft Sale. The sale hours are 9AM-2PM.    I am now looking for 3 volunteers to help me at the sale.  I am only asking for 2 hour shifts, as follows:

8AM-10AM   setup and help with early shoppers

10AM-12:30PM   help with mid-day shoppers

12:30PM-2:30PM   help with afternoon shoppers and pack-up.

Please let me know if you can spare a few hours to help with this charity fundraiser.

Show and Tell:

Donna Rissman showed 2 Mommy-Baby Play mats.

She also showed a stuffed candy cord that we made a few years ago.  (I’m looking for it.)

Eileen DiSanto brought some bunnies, waiting to be stuffed.

Pat Pipa crocheted an infant hat,

made some jar opener pads

and another hanging kitchen towel.

Ceal Pedersen showed a quilt she made for a great-grandchild expected in October.

She also brought back a bunch of stuffed toys, now with faces.

Anne Knoff showed 2 table runners made by her friend Cindy.

I showed a baby quilt I finished.

For the rest of the afternoon ladies stuffed toys, selected fabric, and chatted.

We ended early today.  The skies looked like rain. I hope everyone is prepared for hurricane Helene’s arrival tonight.  I shouldn’t hit us directly, but it is big enough that we will probably get some very strong winds and possibly some tornados.  Please stay safe.  I hope to see you next week.
