Club Notes - Oct 2, 2024

We had 12 ladies come out today.  Mic brought a bin of nice fabric and I brought the fiber fill.  We also put out the 3.5 inch squares for anyone to work with.

This Saturday (Oct 5th), is the Villages Craft Sale, 9AM-2PM.  I will be selling our club items in the Julio Iglesias room in the La Hacienda rec center. Proceeds from this will go to our charities. Several other of our members will also be selling their crafts.

Carolyn Grasso has a table at Rohan rec center and Brenda Severa has a table at Colony.  This multi-rec center craft sale is open to anyone, whether they live in the Villages or not, so tell your friends and come out to shop.

Show and Tell

Brenda Severa is back and ready to sell her crafts at every local craft sale in the area.  She has been sewing like crazy all summer and showed some of the table runners she made,

including 2 for our charity sale..

Anne Knoff showed a quilt top she made.

Donna Rissman showed a stuffed Candy Corn she made,  It came out a little lumpy 😉 , but she fixed it up during the meeting.

Diane Saculla showed a pair of moccasins that her friend made.  This friend makes them to order, custom fit to a person’s feet, and in any color.

The rest of the afternoon was spent sewing, cutting, stuffing, and chatting, as always.

I don’t have plans for next week yet.  I am just focusing on getting through the craft sale.  See you Saturday or next Wednesday.
