Club Notes - April 24, 2019

A big thank you to all of you who worked on the quilts, duffle bags, name tags, and pillow cases for the Sheriff's Youth Ranch graduates.  We have enough for the grads,, plus some quilts and pillow cases for the new kids coming in September.  In addition, a large pile of pillow cases were completed this afternoon   I will do an inventory over the weekend, but I think we have some pillow cases for Case for Smiles as well.

Next week is our Spring pot-luck party.  Come out and have some food and fun games.  Bring a dish if you can, or if you can't, come anyway.  There is always enough food to go around.

Skip and Robyn Bryan will be coming to pick up the items for the Ranch kids next week as well, so this is a chance to meet them.

Show and Tell:

Pat Pipa made another quilt for the Sheriff's Youth Ranch and a stack of pillow cases to go with the quilts for the Ranch grads.

Lu Karatzas showed a wall hanging she made many years ago, using the same method that Donna Rissman showed last week.

Bev Minnerly turned in the last 10 blocks for our blue stack n wack quilt and shared some thank you cards from the kids at the Youth Ranches for stuff we've donated to them in the past.

Carol Riggs showed a back pack she made and embroidered for her granddaughter.

Ellen Hein showed the last of the 8 duffle bags she made for the Ranch grads and a sleep sack she made for her granddaughter.

*********************************

We are out of demos on the schedule, so if anyone has any ideas, let me know.  If not, I will recycle some things we've done before or dig into my pattern files.  (Watch out when I do this, you never know what I'm going to dig up .

See you next week.
