Club Notes - May 9, 2018

A small but active group today.  We not only had a great demo but learned how to effectively use metallic thread and had several other side lessons as well.

Show and Tell:

Charlotte Cecilio showed her completed mini gypsy bag.

Bev Minnerly made 2 duffle bags for the Youth Ranch and showed a finished bowl buddy.

Lu Karatzas made 3 bowl buddies that nest to protect her glass baking dishes.

B.J. Herter showed her completed bowl buddy.

Carol Riggs finished her hanging cat and sent it with Eileen DiSanto

Eileen Showed her 2 completed bowl buddies.

Donna Rissman attempted to show her casserole carrier, but didn't quite complete it.  With advice from B.J., Ellen, and myself, she will continue and hopefully show it next week.
She also showed a cute table topper that we hope she will demo some time soon.

Ellen Hein brought 2 completed baby quilts for the Ocala shelter and 2 custom shape bowl caddies.

I finished 9 duffle bags for the youth ranch and a quilt put together from embroidered blocks and other fabric found in our donated fabric piles.

Lynn gave a great demo on how to make the Mega Pinni pincushion/tool caddy.  What a great addition to my sewing room!  Several of us worked on these this afternoon and I think I will see a few next week.

Next week is our charity project week.  Nita will be showing us how to make the caps for cancer patients using t-Shirt fabric and other stretchy fabric. I hope you will all come out to help with this project.
