We were a small group this afternoon, only 8 of us. Many of our regulars are traveling. I brought the same bins of 5” squares and fabric pieces that have been living in my car since last week. Mic and I pulled a bin of fabric from storage last week for an Allamanda project. I let Louise look through this to see if she could match some with pieces she had for pillowcases, and she found two that work. I am looking forward to seeing her finished pillowcases.
Show and Tell:
Louise Stem put together several backpack panels using the 5” squares.
She also showed a prayer quilt she made for a lady in her church.
Ceal Pedersen showed 2 baby quilts she made to sell.
Diane Sacula showed some different toys she made. A friend of hers embroidered the faces.
After show and tell, Mic helped me decipher a pattern for an
apron that has been confusing me. We
made good progress, but it’s not done yet.
Mic delivered 41 dog beds last week. Today I gave her several
bags of toys for the Villages Hospital and quilts for the Leesburg Maternity
ward. I love seeing the finished
projects going where they are needed.
I hope to see you next week.
Lois
