The rain cooperated with us this afternoon, starting well after our meeting began and finishing before any of us were ready to leave. Mic brought the large fabric bins and I brought some large squares batting scraps and insul-brite.
El Santiago Rec center will be closed for maintenance again June 28th, so we won’t have a meeting next week.
Show and Tell:
Diane Placek finished her purse from last week’s demo.
B.J. Herter made several dinos, which she stuffed during the meeting.
Deb Chapman finished some potholders and trivets.
Ceal Pedersen painted faces on some stuffed toys that were handed in
and showed 2 quilts.
The 2nd quilt will go to quilts of valor.
Carolyn Grasso showed a quilt she made for her brother.
I showed three purses I made using last week’s pattern..
+++++++++++++++
After show and tell I demonstrated how
to make the Noriko bag, from Lazy Girl.
I enlarged the pattern to make the bag a little larger and added a
little to the instructions.
Our next meeting will be on July 5th. I’m going to show a very simple pattern to
make travel tissue cases. If you need
any specific supplies for other projects, let me know.
Hope to see you all in 2 weeks.
