Club Notes - May 20, 2026

There were 10 of us this afternoon.  I brought a fresh box of scraps big enough for toys and a box of patriotic fabric.  I also put out the 3.5” squares, 8” squares, and 10” squares. Ellen and Bev spent the afternoon sorting our zippers by size.

Show and Tell: (https://sewingn-more.blogspot.com/)

Eileen St. Clair showed two quilts she made.

Ellen Hein showed this week’s batch of quilts that she finished the binding on.

I had to be creative with the backing in this one.

See next photo.

She also made zipper bags to go with the twin size quilt she made.  She is going to put the quilt and zipper bags in a duffle for next year.

I made this one from some donated blocks and some batik blocks of my own

Pat Pipa showed some crocheted fidget sleeves for Busy Hands.

Eileen DeSanto showed the quilt she made, now finished.

Carolyn Grasso showed a toy horse she made.

Knoff brought 3 quilts made by Khaki Quilters.

Ellen, Eileen S., and Isabella talked about coming in early to sort through the fabric in the closet, trying to organize.  It really did start out organized but things have changed over time.  It will be good to take a fresh look.

Next week I hope to bring in another box of fabric for everyone to look through. I have a box of white pieces that Ellen suggested I bring, so I hope to remember that as well.

Hope to see you next week.

Lois
